You have to want it more than anything. If you have a family or someone who loves you like friends or relatives, you definetely should think about how your smoking effects them, not just yourself. If you cant do it for yourself, do it for them because i’m sure they would not want anything bad to happen to you.

Habits are neural networks in the brain that have become well worn paths. Our thoughts and cravings like to gravitate back to the old paths.

The paths are both a curse and a blessing. It we establish good daily habits, then we want to go back to those good, established paths. If we establish bad habits, then we gravitate to the bad paths.

Look at smoking as a path that you want to cease from tending. Over time, by ignoring the path, it will get overgrown with the “brush and vines” of life. The best way to destroy the bad path is to establish a good path instead.

Sort of goofy - but when you feel like smoking, try learning new dictionary words or taking a break to read an interesting article. Thats changing a bad path for a good one. Folks get fat when they quit smoking because they condition themselves to seek a different pacifier. They trade a goody for a smoke.

    Make sense?

it all depends on why you smoke. Try to replace it with things your like to do besides smoking. My mom stop smoking becuase she got pregnant with my sisters (and you know you really cant smoke then) So she was like if i can stop when im pregnant she can stop for the rest of life. But think about it you dont wanna die becuase of smoking remember it’s your life that your are living.
